16.10.2024, 18:00 - 21:00
We invite you to workshops where participants will be able to learn the most important noble techniques, such as cyanotype, van Dyke brown, dichromate gum, gum oil, heliogravure, and others.
On October Wednesdays, 'students' will learn how to prepare and create prints on artistic paper using the CYANOTYPE technique step by step (please choose one Wednesday, as the same material is covered in each workshop).
Participants will start by 'discovering' the secret of the digital negative, i.e., the appropriate photo processing. They will then print negatives on special film designed for this purpose. In the next part of the class, in the darkened room of the Fotoplastikon, they will apply the prepared cyanotype emulsion. The next stage is the individual drying of the prepared sheets. The finished works combined with the negative will be placed in a copy frame and positioned in front of UV light-emitting lamps. The exposed sheets taken out of the copy frame will be developed in prepared trays with water, and after drying, the work will be ready.
The workshops are intended for youth (over 16 years old) and adults.
All materials are provided by the organizer.
FREE ENTRY, registration at: rejestracjafw@1944.pl or by phone at 22 629 60 78.
The meetings will be led by Łukasz Gietka and Julia Bistuła, co-founders of the Institute of Noble Photographic Techniques. The Institute was established over 8 years ago. It brings together both professional photographers and visual artists who realize their works, among others, through noble photographic techniques.
