Does anyone want to experience a glow down?
Based on the clickbait model of 'before' and 'after,' 'glow up' has become a litmus test for current beauty standards.
In opposition to oppressive beauty norms, let’s collectively try to develop alternative ways of self-expression.
Our matron will be Baba Yaga. Originating from Slavic beliefs and folklore, this figure has gradually lost her position in the native pantheon, which was reflected in her appearance. According to some interpretations, she was to be a degraded female deity. Her appearance symbolized a disdain for matriarchal culture and feminine energy. Referring to the popular internet trend #glowup (otherwise: to undergo a metamorphosis, literally: to gain radiance), she thus underwent the reverse process - 'glow down.'
Could the apparent degradation, as indicated by the term 'down,' turn out to be the key to freedom?

👅 @vvindovv.licker is an experimental exhibition space.
The pavilion serves as something between a gallery and an esoteric stall, thus referring to the tradition of bazaar fortune-tellers. You can drop by for an exhibition, but also for a consultation, or read various publications on esotericism, zines, and photo books, as well as... view unusual tarot decks.
The name Windowlicker comes from the English idiom > (window shopping) and the French >. In loose translation, it means 'licking shop windows,' which refers to looking at shop displays but ultimately buying nothing.
The space is run by two creative individuals:
Milena Soporowska (@milsopo) and Piotrek Sobiecki, performing under the pseudonym Lotus Reaction (@lotus_reaction).
