🔴 Route description:
/The beginning of the route is in front of the Church of All Saints at Grzybowski Square.
/Grzybów and Muranów are today associated with the history of Warsaw's Jews. In Grzybów, the orthodox Nożyk synagogue has survived. Before 1939, the area around Twarda, Rynkowa, and Grzybowska was teeming with Hasidic prayer houses, often linked to famous tzaddiks. But there are also Catholic temples, with the Church of All Saints towering over Grzybowski Square and the former church of the Carmelite friars on Leszno. Leszno itself (now the area of al. Solidarności and Karmelicka) is a place integrally connected with Warsaw's Protestants. Here, the spire of the Evangelical-Reformed church still reaches for the sky. However, there is no trace of the dissidents' cemeteries and the Evangelical hospital, which were strongly inscribed in the history of our city. Similarly, nothing has survived from the Great Synagogue located nearby on Tłomackie.
