Ladies and Gentlemen,
We invite you to participate in an open and free (order of registration is decisive, link to registration below) lecture that will open the 3rd International Conference on Unconventional Catalysis, Reactors and Applications (UCRA).
The lecture entitled “Mars, MOXIE, and the Future of Human Space Flight” will be given by Prof. Jeffrey Hoffman - NASA astronaut.
Prof. Jeffrey Hoffman is a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. As a NASA astronaut, he has completed five spaceflights and became the first astronaut to spend more than 1,000 hours aboard the Space Shuttle. Prof. Hoffman teaches courses on space operations and space systems design at MIT. He directs the MOXIE experiment as part of NASA's Mars 2020 Perseverance mission, which produced oxygen from extraterrestrial matter for the first time, a critical step in the future of human space exploration. More about the speaker on the UCRA conference website: https://ucra2024.pw.edu.pl/index.php/honorary-speakers/.
The lecture will take place on September 18 at 9:00 a.m. in the Rektorska4 building. Free admission after registration: https://forms.gle/7gPgvCxXWKVSvCLs5 (limited number of seats, the order of registration is decisive).
UCRA is dedicated to the topic of new directions of development of issues related to catalysis, which go beyond traditional applications in industrial reactors and expand to new areas, such as health, personal protection, climate and energy. More about the UCRA conference can be found on the website: https://ucra2024.pw.edu.pl/.
We encourage you to register!
