Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
Oh, before the war, there was so much happening. People knew how to have fun, and the capital provided them with the guarantee that there were countless places to let loose and enjoy themselves. Clubs, pubs, outdoor parties in Warsaw. There were dances until the early hours of the next day.
On this occasion, I invite you, Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, for a walk, where I will guide you and show you the places where the entertainment-loving population of the capital had fun in the 1920s and 1930s.
During the walk, I will tell you where and what was danced. Was there swing in Warsaw? Or which dance was the most popular one?
I will show you exclusive nightclubs, tell you about the people who were regulars at such establishments. There will also be, on the other hand, about folk dances and festivities.
I will present the profiles of musicians, composers, celebrities. The very front pages of newspapers!
It will be about nightlife, the emerging jazz, cabarets, swirling dance floors, dancing customs, and many more.
It will be cultural and humorous.
And as a double attraction at the end of the walk, I have the honor to invite you, Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, to a live performance by the Warsaw Sentimental Orchestra, which will play pre-war rhythms for free for dancing from 8:00 PM in the courtyard of the ASP. A perfect conclusion to our walk.
Start: at 5:00 PM, September 14, 2024.
Meeting point: Theater Square (entrance to the Grand Theater, from Wierzbowa Street under the monument of Wojciech Bogusławski)
The walk will last about 2 hours and will end in the area of de Gaulle Roundabout.
You are kindly requested to come in large numbers and invite relatives and friends.
This cultural event is free, but it is known that if you enjoyed it, I would not disdain a little something in the hat for honorable purposes.
Looking forward to seeing you, Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
