We invite you to a unique exhibition LIFE OF THE ROYAL GARDEN that will take you on a journey through the history of Royal Łazienki in Warsaw – seen from an entirely new perspective. This time, it’s not just a story about the king and his palaces, but above all about the everyday lives of gardeners, artists, and the people who inhabited this extraordinary place. It's a fascinating history of the Royal Łazienki gardens as a place that influences the senses and imagination! 🌟 When: 20 June – 14 September 2025 📍 Where: Podchorążówka and gardens of the Royal Łazienki Museum LOCATION - Podchorążówka (Officer Cadet School): https://maps.app.goo.gl/ytoUT9bPajZoHXny5?g_st=ipc At the exhibition, you will see, among other things: - Archival photographs and rare exhibits from Polish and international museums - Collages and art installations by the artist Mirella von Chrupek created especially for Royal Łazienki Museum - Historical gardening tools, such as an English lawnmower from the first half of the 20th century and a gnomonograph for drawing sundials - Illustrations from a 17th-century Herbarium and imperial Russian gardening books - Historical garden beds recreated by today’s museum gardeners - A 3D visualization of an à la française gown featuring animated floral patterns from historical fabrics - Floral-themed jewelry from the 18th century - A film featuring contemporary gardeners showing how this unique site is cared for today It’s a story about a place where nature, art, and everyday life have been intertwined for centuries – and continue to inspire. The guides' stories, full of anecdotes and engaging commentary, will allow you to delve deeper into the history of the Łazienki gardens and learn about the daily lives of their former residents. Entry to the guided tours is included with the ticket for the temporary exhibition. The history of the Royal Łazienki gardens: The Royal Łazienki is renowned for its neo-classical monuments set amidst meticulously maintained historic gardens. There are three main gardens here: the Royal, Romantic, and Modernist gardens. These were created in different historical periods and differ in character and style. The exhibition unveils their hitherto untold history.
