Polish wine has become a hot topic lately — and not just in Poland. A few weeks ago, Winnica Kamil Barczentewicz — with whom we have a long-term partnership and a signature wine made exclusively for our venue — was featured in the newsletter of none other than Tim Atkin MW himself. Agnieszka Rousseau and Roman Myśliwiec, respected “flying winemakers” recognized abroad, have been mentioned by Jancis Robinson MW — a clear sign that Polish wine was taken seriously at the very beginning. In recent years, the number of active vineyards in Poland has nearly doubled. But more importantly, quality — not quantity — has become the defining factor. Increasingly, Polish wineries are no longer hobby projects run after work hours, but independent, well-financed, and carefully planned agricultural ventures. Polish wine has ceased to be a curiosity; it is slowly but steadily making its way to the tables of the country’s best restaurants and wine bars. This will be both a private selection — including rare bottles no longer available on the market — and a showcase of the most distinctive and acclaimed Polish producers.
