Since 2022, year-round bird inventories have been conducted in Warsaw's parks, squares, and selected urban green areas. In total, over 150 bird species have already been recorded, including 70 breeding species. The species richness and abundance of bird communities depend on the size of a given area, but even more on the diversity and structure of habitats.
