Points of connection. Grassroots student-artistic initiatives at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. The Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts had a rich tradition of grassroots student galleries – from Repassage, Dziekanka, and Eufemia, to Turbo, Kaplica, Kiedyś to będzie, and Galeria Otwarte. These were spaces of community and experimentation, often semi-legal but incredibly creative. It was there that initiatives were born, which later co-created the Polish art scene. Today, such spaces are lacking. Officially, there is only a gallery at the Faculty of Painting, practically reduced to one wall on a staircase. Former student activity spaces have been closed and disappeared from the Academy's map. The exhibition reminds us of their significance and the need to create new community spaces. Accompanying the exhibition will be Jerzy Czachowski's film "Eufemia" (2025), dedicated to the famous student club-café. 🎨 Artists: - Marceli Adamczyk - Jędrzej Bieńko - Ania Grzymała - Maja Janczar - Mateusz Kowalczyk - Piotr Mlącki - Tomek Paszkowicz - Grzegorz Pieniak - Agata Popik - Szaweł Płóciennik - Patrycja Płóciennik - Daniel Sikorsk - Katarzyna Sporn - Piotr Wesołowski - Sylwia Wirska - Documentation of activities in the Repassage gallery, Dziekanka 📅 Exhibition open from October 12 to November 7: - Tuesday – Sunday, 12:00–19:00 📅 Opening: - October 11, 18:00 📍 Location: - Salon Akademii Gallery, Krakowskie Przedmieście 5 [entrance from Traugutta Street] 👩🎨 Curatorial team: - Katarzyna Urbańska - Bartłomiej Wawer 🎬 Production: - Iga Chmielecka 🎨 Visual identity: - Jagoda Janiszewska 📰 Media patronage: - Artinfo.pl - Notes na 6 tygodni - Radio Nowy Świat - Magazyn Szum
