Are you starting your adventure with tournaments? You've come to the right place! The Freshman Challenge is an event created especially for those who are just taking their first steps into the world of competition. Here, it's all about fun, integration, and gaining new skills! No stress, no pressure – just good fun! We have prepared attractive prizes, including a monthly game subscription for the winner of the Masters tournament! You will meet new friends who, just like you, are just starting out. 🎯 When? Saturdays every 2 weeks from 16:00 📍 Where? Shooters Club, 44 Powsińska Street Join us and see that every champion was once a beginner! 1. Organizer The organizer of the Freshman Challenge tournament is the Shooters billiard club, 44 Powsińska Street in Warsaw, and Black Ball Events. 2. Date and place Tournaments will be held at the Shooters club at 44 Powsińska Street in Warsaw from 16:00 on Saturdays every 2 weeks starting from August 23. In exceptional situations, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the tournament after prior notification to the players. 3. Game system - Tournaments will be played in the 8-ball variant. - Each tournament consists of a group stage and a knockout stage. Players will be assigned to groups randomly. The number of groups will depend on the number of participants. In the group stage, matches will be played to 2 won games. In the knockout stage, the number of games will be determined depending on the time left until the end of the tournament, but not less than 2 won games. - Advancement rules from the group: - The top two places from each group advance to the knockout stage, - In case of an equal number of wins between two players, the result of their direct match decides the higher place, - In case of an equal number of wins among three or more players, the ranking is determined by: a) direct matches between the players (points - small table), b) game difference in matches between these players (games - small table), c) game difference in all group matches (games - big table). - In the first round of the knockout stage, group winners will be seeded. Players from second places will be drawn according to the scheme: A1 – C2, B1 – D2, C1 – A2, D1 – B2. - In case of higher attendance, players will be drawn into more groups with an additional knockout round. - The winner of a single tournament automatically qualifies for the Masters tournament, held after 16 events, and thus loses the right to participate in the remaining qualifying tournaments. 4. Participation conditions Beginner billiard players may participate in the tournament after paying the entry fee, except for: - former and current players of the 1st and 2nd Polish Billiard League and the Ekstraliga, - experienced amateurs, - players who have played in the final of local events more than once (excluding the Freshman Challenge tournament), - players who have won a tournament. 5. Registration 📝 Registration is via the tournament website on the cuescore portal or by SMS to 517 648 279 by 15:00 on the day of the tournament. 6. Entry fee 💸 The entry fee for the tournament is 50 PLN. 7. Prizes 🏆 Prizes are provided for: Single tournament - 1st place: trophy and voucher for 2 hours of billiards, - 2nd place: voucher for 2 hours of billiards. Additionally, prizes are provided in the Masters tournament: - 1st place: trophy + silver monthly game subscription at Shooters club - 2nd place: trophy + voucher for 200 PLN to the Shooters billiard shop - 3rd place: trophy + voucher for 5 hours of play at Shooters billiard club 8. Matters not regulated by these rules are decided by the organizer. 9. The organizer reserves the right to change the rules. 10. There is a strict ban on alcohol consumption in the club. 11. The organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to intoxicated persons or those behaving contrary to the club's rules. 12. Tournament participants accept the rules and consent to the processing of their image and personal data for marketing purposes of Shooters Club and Black Ball Events.
