On Poland's southern edge, where roads slow down and the mountains begin to whisper their own rhythm, lies a land that for decades has drawn those who want to feel more.
Bieszczady — a space of freedom, wind, silence and stories.

Today we're coming back again. We bring the best — and add what others don't have.
Because the Bieszczady have two faces. One is known by everyone: Tarnica, Rawki, Szeroki Wierch, połoniny bathed in sunlight.
The other is known by few: Dwernik Kamień at dawn, the empty ridges of Jasło, the long lines of Okrąglik, the quiet descents from Zatwarnica to Rawki, paths walked by the wind and almost never by people.

This May holiday is a meeting of those two worlds. From the classics you should experience at least once, to ridges you'll remember a lifetime.
And that's exactly where we'll take you: to the połoniny you know from guides and the internet, and to paths that aren't in books. Through valleys scented with spring and across ridges where the wind howls and stories are born.

DAY 1 — LESSER-KNOWN BIESZCZADY

ZATWARNICA → DWERNIK KAMIEŃ → PRZEŁĘCZ WYŻNIAŃSKA → RAWKI → USTRZYKI GÓRNE

ROUTE PROGRESSION — STEP BY STEP

Zatwarnica → Dwernik Kamień
- entrance by the parking lot and the road to the Hylaty waterfall
- long, picturesque ascent along the ridge
- Dwernik Kamień (1004 m) — one of the best panoramas in the Bieszczady
- Views: Wetlińska, Rawki, Tarnica, San valley
- approx. 5 km, 1 h 45 min – 2 h 15 min

Dwernik Kamień → Przełęcz Wyżniańska
- descent along a long scenic ridge
- beautiful beech forests
- finish: large parking with infrastructure
- 6–7 km, 2–2.5 h

Przełęcz Wyżniańska → Mała Rawka → Wielka Rawka
- first ascent steep but short
- classic ridge section
- Wielka Rawka — 360° panorama, one of the top viewpoints
- 4 km, 1.5–2 h

Wielka Rawka → Ustrzyki Górne
- descent through the forest, technically easy
- exit near the BdPN entrance — ideal pickup point
- 4.5–5 km, 1.5–2 h

• Zatwarnica → Dwernik Kamień: ~5 km, ~2 h
• Dwernik → Wyżniańska: ~6–7 km, 2–2.5 h
• Wyżniańska → Rawki: ~4 km, 1.5–2 h
• Rawki → Ustrzyki Górne: ~4.5–5 km, 1.5–2 h
• TOTAL: 21–24 km, 7–9 h

ROUTE CHARACTER — DAY 1 (LESSER-KNOWN)

• long, scenic day without technical difficulties
• empty, little-traveled ridges of Dwernik Kamień
• beautiful panoramas from the first kilometres
• Rawki — a strong but not deadly finale of the day
• an ideal trip opener: ambitious but realistic for the whole group

DAY 1 — CLASSIC BIESZCZADY

MUCZNE → BUKOWE BERDO → TARNICA → SZEROKI WIERCH → USTRZYKI GÓRNE
- distance: 17–19 km
- time: 6.5–8 h
- difficulty: medium-high
- logistics: start → Muczne, finish → Ustrzyki Górne

ROUTE PROGRESSION

Muczne → Bukowe Berdo
- approx. 6 km, 2–2.5 h
- the most pleasant ascent onto the massif; beautiful views after emerging above the forest

Bukowe Berdo → Przełęcz Goprowców → Tarnica
- 4 km, 1.5–2 h
- an exceptionally scenic ridge section; the final stretch to Tarnica short but steep

Tarnica → Szeroki Wierch → Ustrzyki Górne
- 6–7 km, 2.5–3 h
- one of the most photogenic ridges of the Bieszczady; long, gentle descent

SUMMARY — BASIC VERSION: 17–19 km, 6.5–8 h

EXTENDED VERSION (FOR THE STRONG):
- Muczne → Bukowe Berdo (entire ridge) → Tarnica → Szeroki Wierch → Ustrzyki Górne
- distance: 20–23 km; time: 8–9.5 h; difficulty: high

ROUTE CHARACTER — DAY 1 (CLASSIC)

• an absolute Bieszczady classic with Tarnica as the culmination
• long, panoramic ridges
• demanding ascents, but without technical difficulties
• huge variety of landscapes
• extended variant — full Bukowe Berdo for advanced hikers

DAY 2 — LESSER-KNOWN BIESZCZADY (HARD VERSION)

ŻUBRACZE → BERDO → HYRLATA → ROZTOKI GÓRNE → OKRĄGLIK → JASŁO → CISNA
- distance: 22.9 km
- time: 7 h 45 min – 8 h
- total ascent: +1221 m
- total descent: –1293 m
- highest point: Jasło (1146 m)
- difficulty: high — the hardest day of the whole May holiday
- character: wild, panoramic, long ridge endurance push

ROUTE PROGRESSION — STEP BY STEP

Żubracze → Berdo (1041 m)
- 1:30 h, 3.1 km, green
- a strong climb from the start; first viewpoint with a panorama of Hyrlata and the Solinka

Berdo → Hyrlata (1103 m)
- 0:35 h, 1.8 km, green
- short, intense section

Hyrlata → Roztoki Górne
- 1:10 h, 4.2 km, green
- long descent through forests; Roztoki = a rest moment before the tougher part of the push

Roztoki → Przełęcz nad Roztokami
- 0:40 h, 1.8 km, green

Pass → Okrąglik (1101 m)
- 1:20 h, 3 km, red/blue
- ascent to the border ridge; panorama to Slovakia and Jasło

Okrąglik → Jasło (1146 m)
- 0:25 h, 1.4 km, red
- Jasło = the best panorama of the day (360°)

Jasło → Rożki → detour → descent educational trail
- 2:00 h, 7.1 km
- long ridge, alternating forest and open views; detour around a closed section of trail

Descent to Cisna (chairlift → centre)
- 0:10 h, 0.7 km
- gentle descent to a perfect pickup point

SUMMARY (DAY 2 — LESSER-KNOWN)

• Time: 7:52 h
• Ascents: +1221 m
• Descents: –1293 m
• Highest point: Jasło (1146 m)

• long, endurance march for people "with fire"

DAY 2 — CLASSIC BIESZCZADY

BRZEGI GÓRNE → POŁONINA CARYŃSKA → USTRZYKI GÓRNE
- distance: 11–12 km
- time: 4.5–6 h
- difficulty: medium (strong ascent → long reward)
- logistics: start → Brzegi Górne, finish → Ustrzyki Górne

ROUTE PROGRESSION — STEP BY STEP

Brzegi Górne → Połonina Caryńska
- ~3 km, 1–1.5 h
- steady ascent through forest; after about 45–60 min you emerge above the trees
- views open to Smerek, Wetlińska, Rawki

Połonina Caryńska ridge — full traverse
- ~3–4 km, 1.5–2 h
- one of the most panoramic ridges in the Bieszczady; four summits = four different panoramas

Descent to Ustrzyki Górne
- ~4–5 km, 1.5–2 h
- long, gentle, technically easy descent; beech forest in the lower part
- finish at BdPN — ideal pickup

ROUTE CHARACTER — DAY 2 (CLASSIC)

• classic Bieszczady połonina day
• ascent demanding but steady and flowing
• long, scenic ridge with panoramas in every direction
• great second day of the trip — strong but not excessive

DAY 3 — LESSER-KNOWN BIESZCZADY (THREE VARIANTS)

The last day in the "lesser-known" version can have three faces:

• A — long, wild endurance push
• B — medium, logical classic of wild valleys
• C — short, quick, scenic finale

VARIANT A — DOŁŻYCA → FALOWA → ŁUH → JAWORZEC → PRZEŁĘCZ ORŁOWICZA → WETLINA

- the longest, most varied, a push with the atmosphere of abandoned valleys

Dołżyca → Falowa
- 1:40 h, 3.7 km, black

Falowa → Łuh
- 1:15 h, 4.7 km, black

Łuh → Jaworzec → Bacówka
- 0:45 h, 2.4 km

Jaworzec → Krysowa → Pod Orłowicza
- 2:35 h, 6.7 km

Ascent to Orłowicz
- 0:05 h, 0.4 km

Orłowicz → Wetlina
- ~1 h, 3.9 km

- A very tough, very wild, very diverse day.

VARIANT B — JAWORZEC → PRZEŁĘCZ ORŁOWICZA → WETLINA

- medium difficulty; excellent route logic; ideal as a "recovery day"

- the shortest, most scenic, quick, pleasant finale

- Jasieniów → Smerek: 1:10 h (Smerek = one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Bieszczady)
- Smerek → Orłowicz: 0:15 h
- Orłowicz → Wetlina: 1:26 h

DAY 3 SUMMARY — FULL PICTURE

• A — 23.5 km, 7:46 h, high — wildest, longest
• B — 13.8 km, 4:26 h, medium — balanced, pure landscape
• C — 11.6 km, 4:01 h, medium-light — a classic in a light version

ROUTE CHARACTER — DAY 3 (LESSER-KNOWN)

• a day full of wild valleys and ridges where you won't meet crowds
• the atmosphere of abandoned villages and wide, empty panoramas
• more "adventure" than on the połoniny
• a great complement to the previous days
• final panoramas from Smerek / Orłowicz — an ideal trip ending

DAY 3 — CLASSIC BIESZCZADY

BRZEGI GÓRNE → POŁONINA WETLIŃSKA → WETLINA
- distance: 10–12 km
- time: 3.5–5 h
- difficulty: medium
- character: beautiful, easy, postcard finale

ROUTE PROGRESSION

Brzegi Górne → Połonina Wetlińska (yellow)
- 1–1.5 h, 2.5–3 km
- quick exit above the forest; views to Caryńska, Smerek

Połonina Wetlińska ridge → Chatka Puchatka
- 1–1.5 h, 3–4 km
- the most famous ridge in the Bieszczady; 360° panorama

Descent (2 variants)
- A — Wetlina Stare Sioło: 1.5–2 h, 4 km, blue
- B — Przełęcz Wyżna: 2–2.5 h, 5 km, yellow

SUMMARY: 10–12 km, 3.5–5 h
