What can happen when, in a small house in the countryside, three women decide to devise the perfect plan to reclaim the fortune lost in cards by their late husband? This is how the play directed by Tomasz Sapryk begins, titled "Fork in the Head," marking the culmination of Elżbieta Jarosik's 50-year artistic career. Her masterfully portrayed Teresa—a housewife who will stop at nothing to achieve her goal—will make you laugh to tears, occasionally frighten, surprise, and move you. Together with her two daughters: - Paulina (Katarzyna Maciąg/Andżelika Piechowiak) - a local librarian, an idealist with insecurities, and a frustrated old maid all in one - Ewa (Anna Jarosik/Milena Suszyńska) - a big-city femme fatale, arrogant and conceited, almost a mirror image of her mother They form a trio you won't soon forget. Among these fiery women, neighbor Witek (Kamil Kula/Mikołaj Roznerski)—a shy mechanic lost in the web of intrigues and lies of the feuding women—tries to survive. And in the background: daddy's funeral, gambling debts, a long-standing conflict between sisters, a stolen groom, and... a fork that certainly doesn't serve its typical culinary purpose. The performance, full of sharp dialogues, surprising situations, and familiar Polish humor, exposes the absurdity of everyday conflicts, showcasing the complex nature of women's relationships, yearnings, and daily struggles with reality. It allows you to see them from a completely different, sometimes crazy perspective. Can love, understanding, or even a bit of happiness be found in this chaos?
