WJO - ONE PAINTING EXHIBITION. Special guest: Pierluigi Petricca - One Man Blues Band (Italy) Pierluigi Petricca (PG PETRICCA), previously known as the leader of the Papaleg Blues Band duo created with Marco Tinari, often performs as a one-man band. The music he performs consists of classic blues sounds from the Mississippi Delta. In these, the artist expresses his admiration and respect for the masters of Southern American blues, such as: - Son House - Charlie Patton - Robert Johnson - Blind Lemon Jefferson - Bukka White - Furry Lewis - Mississippi Fred McDowell - Big Bill Broonzy He has played countless concerts and festivals not only in Italy but all over the world, including the Mississippi Delta, where he had the opportunity to perform with legendary blues masters such as Jimbo Mathus and Bill Abel from Clarksdale. Pierluigi plays a resonator guitar of the Dobro type, often using slide technique and usually employs a stompbox to emphasize rhythm. In 2010, PG began his solo career, continuing to perform in clubs and collaborating with many European artists, such as Joanna Pilarska, Jacqueline Telford, Max Prandi, and Beppe "Harmonica Slim" Semeraro. With the latter, he performed in the "Praski Blues" series in Warsaw. In 2011, he appeared as a guest on the Jonas Blues Band album "Back To Life." In 2012, he collaborated with Italian singer Paola Ronci, offering very classic songs inspired by pre-war blues. With Paola, he recorded two albums: "Full Of You" (2013) and "Comes Love" (2014). That summer, he performed across Europe as a street musician. "Bad Days" is PG Petricca's latest album. Organizational details: - La Boheme is an intimate, art-friendly venue.
