The long-awaited day has arrived when we can once again invite you to the nationwide celebration of the Forest Families Festival titled “Fairy Tale Forest”! This year, it takes an unusual form—a forest family field game! Family, meaning that parents, together with their children, discover the secrets of the Fairy Tale Forest, enjoy themselves, and wander despite (perhaps) the cold and damp. What does it mean to be a Forest Family? It means feeling the call to go into the forest, the call of adventure and encounters with forest mysteries. It means experiencing even deeper family bonds and at the same time feeling that we are part of the great Family of Families—Nature. For three hours, the forest will transform into a fairy-tale land, where you will meet Tree Crown Fairies, Runiołki, the Spirit of the Sleeping Log, and other Forest Beings, rarely seen (at least not by everyone). They have waited a long time to finally meet you! They will show you a winter forest you do not know. They will reveal secrets that are shared only on this one day of the year. Maybe they will even let you peek into their homes? Tell you their stories? Or perhaps they will have a proposal for you? Who knows what will happen to you in the Fairy Tale Forest that day… There will certainly be plenty of opportunities to play, listen, smell, and observe the forest! WHO ARE WE? We are a group of Forest Guides and volunteers who, as part of various foundations, projects, activities, and initiatives, take children, youth, adults, and entire families into the forest. For this event, we are joining forces to prepare something special for you. This time, we invite you to a mysterious, fairy-tale, and mythical forest. Come with us to experience an unforgettable adventure! WHY DO WE DO THIS? Because we want to give the forest back to children, and children back to the forest. It is the best possible space for children to grow. We can only learn about real Life in places where Life resides in countless living beings, and every forest inhabitant has a story to tell us. We want children and their parents to want (and then need) to go to the forest as often as possible (preferably regularly) and benefit from its positive influence on their health and development. Here, it is easier to be a parent and easier to be a child. Here, the instinct to be a Guide for your child awakens in parents, and in children, the instinct to follow the most important people in their lives. 📅 WHEN? Sunday, January 11, 11:00–14:00. Each registered family will be invited at a specific time (the route takes about an hour). 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FOR WHOM? We invite families with children aged 3 to 11. Of course, younger and older siblings are also welcome! 📍 WHERE? Krzyszkowicki Forest in Wieliczka, Forest Kindergarten "Leśna Akademia" The exact meeting point will be provided individually to registered participants for organizational reasons. 📝 HOW TO REGISTER? Families interested in visiting the Fairy Tale Forest are asked to fill out the form: LINK: https://forms.gle/KTu6ENzy1fDYdpES9 NOTE: The form will be active from December 17. Don’t delay your registration, as places are limited and the lists usually fill up within the first hour! In the reply, you will receive information on whether there is still space for you, a link to the meeting point, and the exact time when you can start your adventure. We will invite you at a specific time. For this reason, we cannot invite too many families to the Fairy Tale Forest—we will consider the order of applications! HOW TO PREPARE? First and foremost—dress warmly! High, warm boots (there’s a good chance you’ll leave the path searching for Runiołki!), spare gloves (you’ll be touching the forest), hats, scarves, etc. Bring a thermos with hot tea, a snack, and a cup. You can also make a mask of your favorite animal at home with your children and enter the Fairy Tale Forest wearing it… 💸 COST The event is free of charge. All those involved in organizing it are also volunteering. For the children, for nature, and… for their own pleasure! We warmly invite you!
