How Speed Dating works: The rules for participating are very simple. In one venue, a set number of women and men meet. Each participant receives a badge with their name and a number assigned for the event. Then, participants sit at the table matching the number on their badge, e.g., a woman with number "3" sits at table "3", and the man does the same. On each table, there are forms for participants to indicate after each conversation whether they wish to continue the acquaintance. From the start, each pair talks for about 7 minutes. After that, there's a change. The ladies stay at their tables, while the men move to the next table in ascending order.
