What Speed Dating involves:

The participation rules are very simple. A set number of women and men meet in one venue. Each participant receives a badge with their name and an assigned number at the start of the event. Then participants sit at the table matching their badge number (for example, a woman with number “3” sits at table no. 3). Each table has forms where, after the conversation, we mark interest in continuing the acquaintance. Each pair talks for about 7 minutes; then there is a change — women stay in their seats while men move to the next table. The meeting continues until the men complete the round and return to their table.
