    About the event

We invite you to the Port Sailors concert dedicated to the memory of Michał "Lucjusz" Kowalczyk. Port Sailors is a duo consisting of Michał "Tosiek" Danielewicz (vocals, guitar, harmonicas, banjo) and Dariusz "Grzywa" Wołosewicz (vocals, bass guitar). The duo has released four albums featuring original songs as well as, and perhaps most importantly, songs by Michał "Lucjusz" Kowalczyk. An article by Kamil Piotrowski will introduce you to the Main Hero of the evening, Michał "Lucjusz" Kowalczyk. Here are excerpts from the article (full text available on the website): https://szanty24.pl/byl-bardem-mazur/ "He loved the Masurian Lakes, especially Sztynort. He left his job in the big city for them. He also loved music, creating songs that have become part of the canon of the sailing scene. In them, he told stories of what he saw and heard in the Masurian Lakes. Sometimes they were funny, sometimes sad, sometimes he praised, but often he criticized sailors and their quirks. "Lucjusz" reportedly started singing on stage by accident. Someone "pushed" him into a competition, he was liked, and from then on, solo or with the Spinakery band, he told stories about what was happening in Poland's Land of Many Lakes. In addition to his artistic talents (besides music, he was an excellent illustrator), he was also technically skilled. He made his first guitar and later an amplifier himself when he played in the youth group Regnum. After graduating, he worked in several places until he ended up at the Warsaw Mechanical Works, where, as it turned out, there was a sailing club with its own boats. When he left WZM, he devoted himself entirely to sailing, founded his own company, and organized camps and training sessions. "Lucjusz" recorded five tapes and four albums. He left us over 150 songs, a crowd of trained sailors, and many memories cherished by those who knew him. Surely, he will still be with us at campfires, on quays, and everywhere we sing "Na Mazury," "Biała sukienka," "Żeglarzy portowych," "Grubego," "Szeklę," "Zochę," "Balangę," "Przyjaciółkę żeglarzy," "Słoneczko," "Trzy panny"..." 🎟️ Admission: 25 PLN / with boarding card admission 15 PLN! 📅 Concert: 21:00 📍 Tawerna Korsarz 📍 ul.
