Izzy and the Black Trees is a Poznań-based band playing an explosive mix of post-punk, noise rock, and raw rock’n’roll. Their music is characterized by dirty, punk guitars, an intense rhythm section, and the charismatic vocals of their leader – Izzy. The band debuted with the album "Trust No One" (2020, Antena Krzyku), promoted, among others, on BBC 6 Music by Steve Lamacq. Their next album, "Revolution Comes In Waves" (2022), was enthusiastically received in Poland and abroad – earning the title of Polish Album of the Year 2022 according to Teraz Rock and 8th place in Gazeta Wyborcza's ranking. In 2024, the band released the EP "Go On, Test the System," and the single "F-16" was recognized as Song of the Day by KEXP Seattle. The band performed at the prestigious Eurosonic ESNS festival in the Netherlands, and their concert was recorded by the Rockpalast team.
