
As part of the 105th Wave, concerts will be held by: Teoniki Rożynek, who has just released two premiere albums (on Pointless Geometry and Aural Prism), and Paweł Kulczyński. 💥 Teoniki Rożynek. Winner of the Polityka Passport and the award for music at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. She creates both solo and as part of collective work, in performances and films, as well as in duets and composer collectives. She has participated in composition courses and workshops. Her works have been performed, among others, at the Warsaw Autumn festival (2016, 2017, 2018) and Musica Electronica Nova (2017, Wrocław). She creates instrumental, electroacoustic, and electronic music. She plays the violin, electronics, and waste materials. Her pieces have been performed at various festivals, including Warsaw Autumn, Musica Electronica Nova, Sacrum Profanum, Unsound, Containerclang (Cologne), and Bedingo International Festival of Exploratory Music. She has collaborated on film productions (Tower. A Bright Day directed by Jagoda Szelc, Sole directed by Carlo Sironi, Prime Time directed by Jakub Piątek), theater performances (Hymn to Love directed by Marta Górnicka (Best Music at the 10th Divine Comedy Festival), November directed by Tomasz Węgorzewski (distinction at the 3rd edition of the Living Classics festival)), television performances (The Weak directed by A. Biedrzycki (music award at Teatroteka Fest 2019)), and performances (Chorus from the “The Ark of Covenant” by Katarzyna Kozyra). 💥 Paweł Kulczyński - musician, experimenter, and sound artist, author of outdoor concerts, sound installations, and theater music. He uses complex methods of synthesis, composition, and spatial sound projection, and conducts workshops and sound walks. He is interested in the social and spatial aspects of music, the phenomenology of the audiosphere, acoustics, random events, and conceptualism. He creates avant-garde electronic music at the intersection of genres, with a hard-to-identify idiom. His latest works include themes of mass extinction, planetary mourning, and climate crisis. He collaborates with leading festivals and institutions in Poland and abroad. He has performed at festivals such as Unsound in Krakow, New York, Toronto, and Bishkek, Sacrum Profanum, CTM Berlin, Primavera Sound, and Gwangju Biennale. ----------------------------------------------------------- The Sound Wave series focuses on presenting the most interesting phenomena in the field of sound art and visual arts.
