Appreciating the high musical level of the Jam Session “Young Scene” series held at the Gimlet club in the Norblin Factory, Polish Radio RDC will broadcast live the first hour of this musical meeting. At the invitation of Tomasz Mądzielewski, the musical director of the house band, special guests will appear in the initial part of the jam. There will also be surprises—in true jam style, where spontaneity and improvisation both in the program and among the artists on stage will play a key role. NU FONIA is a combination of words with enigmatic meaning, which for the members of this large collective is a creative challenge—not only musical, but more broadly: artistic. It is an open project, a living organism where improvisation meets composition, and experience meets youthful energy. Over 12 months, the NU FONIA band will carry out a unique project—recording an album created live during Wednesday jam sessions at the Norblin Factory, recorded as special live broadcasts on Radio RDC. Each meeting is a separate chapter of this musical story. The concert series opens the jam session formula. At each event, a new special guest will appear, and the music will be an original conglomerate of sounds oscillating around jazz and funk, with a clear and bold dominance of improvisation. Each event has its own unique character and energy—determined by the invited guest, the moment, emotions, and audience reaction. NU FONIA will play for you every last Wednesday of the month, and all editions of the series will be broadcast live on Radio RDC, allowing listeners to become part of the creative process.
