Winter Break at MAL with the Laboratory of Experiments: GLOWING CITY

GLOWING CITY – MODELS, CARDS AND LIGHT

An extraordinary workshop for children that combines making, experimenting, sensory experiences and free play. These are activities during which each participant becomes both an artist and an explorer. Ideal for children who like to create, build, look “inside things”, try new materials and check how the world works.

The session combines construction, visual arts and technology. Children design glowing models or postcards, planning the placement of elements and creating their own illuminated worlds.

Children develop:

• spatial imagination
• multi-step planning
• a sense of pride in a completed project

Take-home project: a glowing model or a postcard with a WOW effect.

Getting there:

• Nearest stops: Marymont (trams, buses) – about 4–5 minutes on foot
• The route leads along a flat, even sidewalk with no inclines
• Crossings in the area have lowered curbs
• Street parking in the neighborhood – paid parking zone
• Two parking spaces for people with disabilities near the entrance
• Above the door there is a ToTuPoint marker
