He works at the Alfred Sokołowski Hospital in Wałbrzych in the neurosurgery department. Previously, for over two years, he was associated with the "Zacisze" Care and Treatment Facility in Szczawno-Zdrój, and currently also works at the ZOL in Świebodzice. Thanks to this, he knows the realities of various care environments well and can translate them into practical tips on the care and prevention of pressure ulcers. He serves as the president of the National Trade Union of Medical Caregivers and Social Assistance Workers (OZZOMiPPS). He conducts courses, workshops, and trainings both within OZZOMiPPS and in foundations and educational institutions – also in projects co-financed by the EU. The experience gained as an assistant to a person with a disability allows him to combine knowledge with a practical, empathetic approach to care. Topics: - Basics of diabetes: types, symptoms, treatment, diet, and activity. - Hypo- and hyperglycemia – recognition and management in care. - Complications of diabetes – impact on the patient's body. - Diabetic foot – definition, causes, symptoms, stages. - Prevention and daily foot care for people with diabetes. - Role of the medical caregiver: observation, care, responding to changes. - Role of the occupational therapist: patient activation, exercises to improve circulation, education through occupational therapy. - Communication and psychological support for chronically ill patients. - Case study: practical care scenarios for people with diabetes and diabetic foot. - Teamwork: how to combine the actions of the medical caregiver and occupational therapist. SCHEDULE: - 09.00-09.10 - welcome participants, introduction - 09.10-11.10 - online lecture - 11.10-11.25 - break - 11.25-12.50 - online lecture - 12.50-13.00 - Q&A session, test, end of classes REGISTRATION: To enroll in the training, you need to fill out the registration form, pay for the training, and at the designated date and time, open the training link provided in the email message.
