The walking tour will lead us through the former grounds of the garden and residence of the royal minister of fine arts (as we might call him today) and portraitist Marcello Bacciarelli, a street famous for government buildings and beautiful modernist villas. We will see where the first zoo in Warsaw was located, stop by the Mokotowskie toll gates and the tenement houses on Chocimska Street, and finish at Skolimowska Street. In this small area, the stories naturally weave themselves into captivating tales, and the buildings reveal the secrets of their residents. During the walk, we will learn, among other things: - what "Paraguay" was - where the manege is - who was Mickiewicz's friend - what secrets a certain villa on Klonowa Street hides - who Stanisław "Cat" Mackiewicz mercilessly mocked - where Bacciarelli's palace stood - where the name "Bagatela" comes from - where the first zoo in Warsaw was - who annoyed grandpa - where we can find a bison and many other colorful stories about people and places connected to our walking route. 📅 Start: 27.09 (Saturday), 12:00, at the Marshal Piłsudski monument near Belweder. 📍 End: near Skolimowska Street. The walk will be led by KASIA - blogger and licensed Warsaw guide. 📞 Tel. 505 023 782 Participation in the walk is free, but a tip after the walk will be appreciated. We gently remind you that we put a lot of substantive and documentary work into preparing the walk to make it as attractive as possible for you.
