French rapper of Polish descent, PLK will perform twice in Poland: March 11 in Warsaw (club OCZKI) and March 13 in Kraków (club Kwadrat). It's a special opportunity to see live again one of the most popular French rappers of the younger generation, who consistently combines precise flow, emotional lyrics and a distinctive, raw style.
PLK, whose real name is Mathieu Claude Daniel Pruski, was born in 1997 in Paris. His stage name comes from the word “Polak” and refers to his Polish roots on his father's side – the artist's grandfather emigrated from Poland during World War II. PLK's mother is from Corsica, which is why the artist often emphasizes his mixed heritage.
He began creating as a child – he wrote his first lyrics at nine years old, and from the age of thirteen he recorded his own tracks. He started his career in the collective Panama Bende, then went solo, quickly gaining recognition on the French hip-hop scene.
His debut album “Polak” (2018) went platinum, and subsequent releases such as “Enna”, “2069” and “Chambre 5” confirmed his status as one of the most important voices in French rap. PLK is known for authenticity, honesty in his lyrics and constant search for his own sound.
For the Polish audience, PLK's concerts have a special meaning – the artist has long emphasized his heritage, and his performances in Poland are a symbolic return to his family roots.
