This will be the sixth edition of our seminar. This time we will be accompanied throughout by animal behaviorist Agnieszka Penkala — a person from whom the instructor has learned a great deal. She has been and remains for him an authority, oracle and guide in many matters.
For these few days we move the entire Meritum Dog Training to you — together with our dogs and wards. We will teach, explain and demonstrate everything using real examples.
From experience we know that each seminar is better than the previous one. After each one we have more experience, reflections and conclusions, so each next one is also somewhat different. Even at the same location. We already know the area, we and the dogs feel more comfortable there, and that always translates into the quality of the work.
New ideas have also appeared, including anonymous "questions into the hat" — concerning dog training, Meritum, the instructor, our work and the content you read online. This brings something new; the questions are very varied, often surprising and lead to valuable conclusions.
A large part of the seminar concerns conversations with the client. Working with the dog is one thing, and working with a human — often tired, lost or frustrated — is the other, equally important side of this work.
There is also room for professional ethics, boundaries and responsibility, because not every case can or should be handled.
The seminar is intended for dog guardians, trainers, behaviorists, veterinarians, breeders, decoy handlers and athletes. Everyone can test us — and there will be a lot to see.
We talk about obedience and demonstrate it. We also work with other strong dogs. Seminars change — it is not "always the same." Each time there are different problems, different cases and different dogs.
