Embroidery for me is hand yoga, a kind of moving meditation. It is also a form of contemporary activism, analog guerrilla. We live in a world of productivity compulsion, where efficiency and speed matter more than accuracy and deeper understanding. I love embroidery for its slow pace, for teaching patience and focus, which through its physicality and tangibility gives an immediate sense of agency. I believe its subversive potential of gentleness and empathy is what we need now.
