On October 5th at 4:30 PM, we will meet for the thirteenth time at Legends of Olszynka, an artistic walk through the roads, paths, and trails of Olszynka Grochowska. 📍 The artistic escapade will begin at the bus loop and Olszynka Grochowska station, at the corner of Makowska and Chłopickiego streets. 🎭 The theatrical walk has been gaining increasing interest from viewers year after year, intrigued by stories from the past, as well as a certain aura of mystery and inaccessibility of the area. The escapade will be accompanied by music, visual arts, literature, theater, and "pleasant natural surroundings." We will refer to the matrix of the place, exploring its social, environmental, and cultural landscape history aspects. Previous editions of Legends of Olszynka were a positive and rare cultural experience for both viewers and performers, and we hope this year will be no different. The organizer of Legends is Teatr Akt, an independent theater group operating as an association since 1991. Initially, the team worked in the field of pantomime and movement theater. Over time, the main stage for artistic expression became the outdoors, and with street performances, the group continues its theatrical adventure, traveling to large and small cities and towns in Poland and abroad. The domain remains the art of mime, gesture, and visual imagery, complemented by elements of circus, dance, and various acrobatics. Since 2010, the group's headquarters has been located at Łaziebna 9 Street in Olszynka Grochowska, serving as a base for touring theater as well as local Warsaw artistic projects, including Legends of Olszynka.
