    About the event

    This is a road cycling training for women, recommended if: - You’ve started riding a road bike and are tired of solo rides - You’ve heard something about group riding rules but don’t know much more - You envy the pelotons you pass by - Cycling communication, holding the wheel, group rides – all of these are completely mysterious terms to you Here you will learn: - What cycling communication is and what its individual signals mean, and you’ll learn how to use them - The formations a peloton can move in and how to organize one. You’ll also ride in such a formation. - How to switch turns, give turns, and why, what it means, when to do it, and when not to - What “holding the wheel” means and how to get comfortable with it - What proper pedaling rhythm means The training consists of two parts: - Theoretical: Here, I explain cycling communication, among other things, and discuss how group participants move, for example, when switching turns - Practical: We ride a route of about 35 kilometers to implement everything explained during the theoretical part at a TRAINING pace What you need to participate in the training: - A road or gravel bike – if you haven’t bought one yet but know you want to, I recommend the bike shop @Salon Na Szosie, where you can buy a bike (and everything you need) with a discount using the code “WESOŁA MINISTRA” - A helmet – MANDATORY. I make no exceptions and do not allow participation without a helmet. You don’t need professional clothing, you don’t need to be clipped into SPD pedals, but you must have a helmet. For helmets, I also recommend the aforementioned shop. If you don’t make it there, you can buy a helmet at the meeting point, at the Bikeway.pl shop. If you plan to buy a helmet just before the training, arrive at Bikeway.pl early enough. How a helmet should fit on your head can be read at the link: https://tinyurl.com/JakPoprawnieZalozycKask You can also let me know before the training, and I’ll lend you a helmet. - A water bottle – even if you don’t know how to reach for a bottle while riding, bring one. During the training, there’s one planned break and usually one spontaneous one. That’s when you can drink. It’s important to have something to drink. If you don’t have a bottle yet, you can buy one at Bikeway. When buying at Bikeway, use the code “ministrawilanow” - Front and rear lights. For example: https://tinyurl.com/KupLampki Remember, code “WESOŁA MINISTRA” Not essential but helpful for comfort: - Sunglasses (also anti-insect ;)) - Cycling shorts with padding (so-called diaper) You don’t need superfancy clothes. You don’t need to be clipped into SPD pedals yet. You don’t even need to know how to change gears. We’ll cover all of this together during the training. Essential coordinates – read carefully, as I won’t repeat them: - We meet at 17:55 in Warsaw’s Wilanów at Royal Wilanów in the Bikeway.pl shop (you’ll receive all necessary coordinates in a return email, details below) - At 18:00, I start the theoretical part of the training, please don’t be late. Being more than 15 minutes late will mean you miss a significant part of the theoretical training, without which you won’t be able to participate in the next part. - Around 18:30, we head out on the route - The route is 35 km and we ride it at a training pace. - Training pace means we ride at a pace comfortable for everyone (you don’t drive 80 km/h during your first five driving lessons, right?) - This is not a TRAINING. This is a training session. A training session on group riding. It’s not a workout where you’ll get a tough beating. It’s a training session where you’ll learn everything mentioned in the first paragraph. *The training group consists of a maximum of 12 participants, never more. The minimum required for the training to take place is 6 people. We ride according to traffic regulations, don’t run red lights, don’t force right of way. I recommend participating in at least three group training sessions, and if you’re still paralyzed by sitting on someone’s wheel in a group of strangers with so much going on, take an individual training session where we’ll focus on that element. You can immediately purchase a full package of group riding training sessions. You can choose: - 3 lessons - 490 PLN - 5 lessons - 800 PLN After one training session, you may feel you still don’t know how to ride in a group, just like after one driving lesson, guitar lesson, or English lesson.

    Safe shopping with official distributors

    The purchase of an ad ticket is made on the website of the official ticket distributor. Keep in mind that if the seats are numbered, and the tickets are disputed by several companies, then each of them provides a different pool of seats to choose from
