The aim of the conference is to hold a lively academic discussion about the challenges, trends, and transformations of religiosity in the 21st century. We encourage participation from researchers and students across various fields: religious studies, theology, anthropology, cultural studies, sociology, psychology, philosophy, history, law. Presentations may address issues of religiosity from different theoretical and methodological perspectives; interdisciplinary and non-obvious topics are welcome.
Example thematic areas:
- spirituality that goes beyond traditionally understood religion
- processes of secularization and desecularization; post- and trans-secular discourses
- new religious movements
- religious extremisms
- intersections of religion and politics
- religious doctrines and feminism
- spirituality and religiosity in literature and art
Active and passive participation in the conference is free of charge.
Time allocated for presentations: 15 minutes.
We will inform applicants of the results of abstract selection by email by February 27, 2025.
Final deadline for submitting abstracts: February 22, 2025, 23:59.
