On December Wednesdays (3, 10, 17) we invite you to workshops where we will learn how to prepare and make prints using the CYANOGUM technique – a 19th-century photographic process from the group of noble techniques, using gum arabic, iron salts, and light. It produces characteristic blue (cyan) prints, but unlike cyanotype, it allows for greater control over tonality and contrast. Thanks to the manual application of the layer, each work is unique and has an almost painterly, pictorial character. We invite both professional photographers and amateurs who want to expand their knowledge and spend their free time creatively. The meetings are intended for youth (from 16 years old) and adults. All materials are provided by the organizer. 🆓 FREE ENTRY 📧 Registration: rejestracjafw@1944.pl or tel. 22 629 60 78 The workshop series will run until June, and each month you can learn a new technique: - PHOTOGRAVURE (January) - DICHROMATE GUM (February) - SOLAR FAST (March) - TALBOTYPE (April) - CYANOTYPE ON JAPANESE PAPER (May) - ANASTATIC REPRINT (June) The workshops will be led by a specialist – Łukasz Gietka, co-founder of the Institute of Noble Photographic Techniques, who for many years has brought together both professional photographers and visual artists.
