“Leuke was born in a silver, spherical vessel of the Northern Ocean, called Oceanus Borealis. She was an Oceanid – a sea nymph. With six fingers on her left hand, she could grasp the bodies of seven-armed, muscular trees.” This is how the new myth about Leuke begins, who undergoes a transformation as a result of encountering the movement of 𝒫𝑜𝓅𝓊𝓁𝓊𝓈 𝒶𝓁𝒷𝒶 L. – the white poplar. This movement is invisible to the human eye. It takes place in inaccessible and hidden spaces. Sometimes it leaves marks. The story of Leuke and 𝒫𝑜𝓅𝓊𝓁𝓊𝓈 𝒶𝓁𝒷𝒶 L. was composed by Dobromiła Dobro based on her own observations of the poplar growing next to the Komuna Warszawa theater, readings of botanical texts collected in the library of the University of Warsaw Botanical Garden, and Greek mythology. The text was edited by Anouk Herman. 🌅 During the morning meeting by the poplar, Dobromiła Dobro will first lead a few movement exercises and then read the text. After the reading, there will be time for conversations, drinking infusions, and breakfast with the Puszka Foundation. ⏰ Time: 8:00 AM 📍 Location: courtyard of Komuna Warszawa Theater, Emilii Plater 31 Dobromiła Dobro – experiments with text and archives, creates installations and videos.
