We invite you to the first meeting of a newly created masterclass series led by acclaimed female artists associated with the National Old Theatre. The project restores visibility to women creators whose work has shaped and continues to shape the artistic language of the national stage.

The meeting will be an opportunity for a direct conversation about the creative process, dramaturgy, teamwork and the place of women in the history and contemporary theatre. ・STWÓRCZYNIE・ is a space for exchanging experiences, deep reflection and practical knowledge – aimed at people interested in theatre, dramaturgy and artistic processes behind the scenes.
The guest of the inaugural workshops will be Dorota Kowalkowska – an experienced theatre educator and dramaturg, since 2021 the artistic director of the International Festival of Theatre for Children and Youth KORCZAK DZISIAJ, secretary of the Polish Centre of ASSITEJ, and a lecturer at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw.

About the facilitator — Dorota Kowalkowska:
- Theatre educator, dramaturg, curator and author of critical texts.
- Since 2021 artistic director of the International Festival of Theatre for Children and Youth KORCZAK DZISIAJ; secretary of the Polish Centre of ASSITEJ; lecturer at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw.
- In 2022–2025 she was the proxy of the director for program affairs at the Dramatic Theatre of the Capital City of Warsaw; previously she was, among others, head of the literary department of the National Theatre and theatre educator and literary manager at the Jerzy Szaniawski Dramatic Theatre in Wałbrzych.
- Co-creator of numerous performances for children and youth (including with Maciej Podstawny: "Greta and the Last Whale", "The Snow Queen", "The Bankruptcy of Little Jack" at the National Old Theatre).
- Curator of educational and participatory projects carried out with young people across Poland.
Awards and distinctions:
- Winner of the first edition of the Halina Machulska Award “for consistently building a heterogeneous theatrical community, taking into account the creative presence of spectators. For effective popularization of theatre pedagogy.”
- Special Award of the 26th Competition for Staging Polish Contemporary Drama “for consistently introducing theatre of high artistic value into the school space, engaging in dialogue with young audiences about the contemporary world.”
- Warsaw Cultural Education Award.
