Fans of the band 𝗙𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮 need no introduction to their heavy sound. For years they have shown they can set new directions for the Polish metal scene: we saw them on the stage of the National Old Theatre in Kraków, in “Wesele” directed by Jan Klata, two years ago they were nominated for the “Polityka’s Passports”, and recently their album “Księżyc milczy luty” was named the album of the 25th anniversary by Musick Magazine.
Last year, in cooperation with the Silesia Film Institution in Katowice and on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Filmoteka Śląska — the only regional film archive — the project “𝗙𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮” was born. Few fans had the chance to experience this unique project, as the events sold out immediately with no mention of a repeat. Until now: here is the only opportunity to see this extraordinary concert spectacle in equally exceptional spaces selected in five Polish cities.
“𝗙𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮” is much more than a live concert combined with film projection — during this unique event image and sound intertwine, offering an extraordinary journey into the past of Silesia. During the band’s classic set, enriched with improvised sections, film images from Silesia will come to life and fill cinema and theatre halls.
Attention! The event contains intense lighting and sound effects.
No supporting bands will perform on the “Furia Plays Cinema” tour. The film shown during the concert will be complemented by narration led by Krzysztof Zawadzki, and live image editing and its visual interpretation are handled by Bogna Przewoźniak, a visual artist who has collaborated with the band for years.
