KINGA RATAJ in the premiere concert “BIEL”
Kinga Rataj, known and appreciated as an ambassador of Fado music in Poland, returns to Polish song, which began her stage activity and earned her the First Prize at the Nationwide Student Song Festival in Kraków in 2006. But this return does not mean another interpretation — it is her own musical path.
The concert titled “BIEL” is a preview of Kinga Rataj’s debut album, composed and arranged especially for her. It is a very emotional, luminous and highly refined recital that, like musical alchemy, creates a unique fusion of classical music, pop, jazz and world music.
The moving, uneasy pieces convey uniqueness, emotionality and the power and beauty of the voice. All of this with piano and violin, which balance between ascetic accompaniment and virtuosic concerto passages. The touching melody lingers in the memory for a long time. The song texts are built around the human being: their life story, desires and the awareness of the roots from which they grow.
