We invite you to the fifth meeting in the “Theatre in District XI” series — a set of special monthly theatre events aimed (primarily, but not only) at residents of District XI.
A play based on a short story by Anna Świrszczyńska with period music and dance, intended for children and their families.
The story takes place at the court of Sigismund the Old and Bona. Three mischievous maids break the queen's favorite plate, an Italian dish. Frightened, the girls run to the jester Stańczyk for help, and when he seemingly refuses, they go to the Kraków Market to a friendly townswoman. The intrigues involve the young prince Sigismund Augustus, the Mistress of the Household and the Teacher.
The performance takes place on Wawel and in the Market among vendors. The actors often weave humorous references to the present day into their lines, so the guardians of the children in the audience will not be bored either.
