About the event

Who Are You, Mario? – discover the many faces of Maria Skłodowska‑Curie with us!

Every Thursday at 17:00 we invite you to guided tours of the exhibition “Who Are You, Mario?”.

A Varsovian, daughter and sister, governess, student, wife and mother, scientist, social activist – this temporary exhibition tells the story of the many life roles Maria Skłodowska‑Curie combined. We present her both through the prism of fame and of rejection, which — despite her undeniable successes — she experienced as a woman breaking professional barriers and conventions in private life. During the tour we will look at her from different perspectives, asking questions — not only historical ones.

Staff from different museum departments — education, collections, exhibitions, communications, publications — will talk about the exhibition from the point of view of their interests and duties at the Museum, share behind‑the‑scenes stories and the questions they themselves would like to ask Maria.

  • Hours: 17:00
  • Language: Polish
  • Participation: with an exhibition ticket
  • Registration: no sign‑ups — limited places (max. 30 people)
