Knowledge Contest about the Life and Works of M. Karłowicz — Challenge no. 2 “What Do You Know About... Karłowicz?”

We are delighted to invite you to a special event — the Inter-school Knowledge Contest about the life and works of Mieczysław Karłowicz titled Challenge no. 2 “What Do You Know About... Karłowicz?”.
📅 February 7, 2026 — Państwowa Szkoła Muzyczna I stopnia nr 5 im. Henryka Wieniawskiego, Warsaw.

The contest is a unique opportunity to celebrate one of Poland’s most outstanding composers and conductors and to deepen knowledge about his life, works and contribution to classical music. The uniqueness lies in the fact that the contest will also be held in English.

Why take part?

• It is an excellent chance to motivate young musicians to explore the history of Polish music.
• Participants can showcase their knowledge alongside peers from other regional schools.
• Attractive prizes and certificates of recognition await the best.

The contest will take place in two age categories:

• Category I: first-level music schools and general first-level music schools — grades II–III of the 4-year cycle and grades III–V of the 6-year cycle.
• Category II: first-level music schools and general first-level music schools — grade IV of the 4-year cycle, grade VI of the 6-year cycle and grades VII–VIII of the 8-year cycle.

⏳ Applications must be submitted electronically no later than January 23, 2026.
