It's a weekend to slow down, recharge with good energy, and experience the true atmosphere of Poland's golden autumn. 🎩 Saturday dress code required: Scottish village 🚗 Route: Warsaw – Gałkowo – Warsaw - Day 1: approx. 240 km - Day 2: approx. 90 km - Day 3: approx. 240 km 📅 Start: Friday, 9:30 AM in Warsaw 📅 Finish: Sunday, approx. 7:00 PM in Warsaw ⸻ What awaits you? 🐎 Horse Festival – Hubertus 2025 In Gałkowo, at the famous Ferenstein stud farm, together with the Potocki family and locals, we will witness a unique spectacle: a horseback chase after the fox and horses crossing the Krutynia River. This event combines noble tradition, emotions, and the authentic atmosphere of a Masurian village. 🌲 Scenic roads and special forest sections I will guide you through routes where the asphalt smells fresh and autumn leaves create a natural carpet. We’ll navigate forest curves, pass through a closed reserve of Polish horses, discover watering spots near Bełdany, and visit the gray horse stud farm in Popielno. 🍴 Culinary feast Masuria tastes best in autumn: - The iconic Oberża pod Psem in Kadzidłowo – slow food at its finest, - Słowiczówka in Ukta with its outstanding chanterelle soup, - Mr. Mirosław Głodek’s farm – crayfish soup, tench in béchamel, pike in clarified butter. Plus, a picnic on car hoods by the water: fresh bread, vegetables straight from the fire, tomatoes roasted with garlic and rosemary, caramelized orange peel… And on the route, asparagus warmed on the engine – a classic of our trips. 🌿 Encounters with nature and the moment A walk through the autumn forest with a basket for mushrooms, a stop at the Guzianka lock – a “lift” for yachts where boats move vertically (!), and moments of silence by Lake Zdróżno, where we’ll stay overnight. 🧖♀️ Relaxation Masurian-style In the evening, unwind in a sauna at a wooden guesthouse by the lake.
