Argentine tango is not only a sensual and passionate dance, but also diverse and moving music created with passion, under the influence of intense emotions. A love for tango united two young musicians from Łódź and Argentine singer Oscar Ovejero, giving rise to the joint artistic project Colours of Tango. Oscar Ernesto Ovejero, a native of Buenos Aires, undoubtedly has tango in his blood. In his natural and spirited singing, you can hear the essence of tango in its purest form. He is accompanied by a duo of young instrumentalists, educated at music academies in Poland and Austria: - Aneta Salwińska (harp) - Konrad Salwiński (accordion) The musicians, who have achieved numerous successes both nationally and internationally, use the richness of their instruments' sound to present their own arrangements of works by old tango masters. Inspired by the music of Piazzolla, Villoldo, and Gardel, they reveal to the audience the full spectrum of tango's colors. The group has already performed on stages in Poland, Austria, Germany, and the UK, and has been honored with the Academia Nacional del Tango Certificate. Completing this unique set of instruments is the versatile and dynamic sound of the PRIMUZ Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Łukasz Błaszczyk. The Colours of Tango ensemble has been honored with the Academia Nacional del Tango Certificate and operates under the honorary patronage of the Embassy of Argentina in Poland. Concert program During the concert, you will hear the most famous Argentine tangos in original arrangements for vocals, concert harp, accordion/bandoneon, and orchestra. Famous pieces such as Libertango, La cumparsita, El choclo will be performed, and of course, the tango from the film "Scent of a Woman"—Por una cabeza—will not be missing. Inspired by the music of Piazzolla, Villoldo, and Gardel, the artists reveal to the audience a wide range of tango colors, along with its various forms; from traditional tangos, through milongas, tango vals, to tango nuevo. The illustration for this extraordinary musical show is a dance performance by professional tango dancers who perform on stages throughout Poland.
