Can you look at Warsaw through the eyes of people who face homelessness every day? How has support and the approach to this phenomenon changed in recent years? What does the daily work of a streetworker involve and what challenges does it bring? We invite you to a unique, three-hour educational walk through Śródmieście, during which: - you will visit places marked by the crisis of homelessness - you will hear stories that usually remain invisible - you will learn about the realities of streetworkers' work – their successes, difficulties, and experiences - you will find out how the support system is changing and what challenges the city and social organizations face The walk will be led by Mateusz Przygodziński – a streetworker from the Association for Social Assistance and Intervention, who has been working with people experiencing homelessness for years. 📍 Where? Śródmieście, Warsaw 📅 When? October 19 and 26, 2025 ⏰ Time: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM During the walk, we will stop at places where people experiencing homelessness stay and at points where they receive help. This is an opportunity to talk about daily survival strategies, support locations, and how the approach to homelessness in the capital is changing. ℹ️ Important information for participants: - Limited number of places – maximum 20 people per walk. To participate, fill out the registration form: https://forms.gle/cpBdZN8WFktxSXk66 - The walk is intended only for adults (18+) – the program is tailored to adult participants. - Registered participants will receive email confirmation of participation along with detailed organizational information (meeting point, safety rules, practical tips). - During the walk, photographic and video documentation will be made – participation implies consent to the use of your image. - Organizers reserve the right to change the date in case of unfavorable weather. - The walk is educational and social in nature – please bring: comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, water/food as needed, a public transport ticket (at least a single 20-minute ticket). The activity is carried out as part of the public task "HISTORIE SPiISane – between the bench and home, or Warsaw meetings with the experience of homelessness" financed by the City of Warsaw.
