Description: Hands are a recurring motif in the history of art, from the very beginnings of creation. People have always felt the need to communicate and convey through hands, and to represent them, attributing various meanings, connotations and symbolism.
They appear in the art and craft of every culture, symbolizing rituals, ceremonies, dances and other activities. With our hands we gesture and express emotions, sometimes without words — hands speak, define us and describe the human experience in the broadest sense. With hands we create.
The Fine Arts Workshops during which these works were created were a space for self-discovery through art and for group exchange of experiences and memories. The exhibition is a reflection on our creative power. The works shown are extraordinary visual narratives around the theme of hands.
Group narratives that are also individual, full of personal stories that the viewer can transfer into their own interpretation and ask themselves questions about the subject.
