    About the event

What are the states in which a person “loses contact with themselves”?

Why can memory, identity or consciousness split apart as if they no longer belong to the same person? Join a new lecture dedicated to dissociative disorders — one of the most fascinating and misunderstood areas of psychopathology.

You will learn, among other things:

    • What dissociation is and why it is a natural defense mechanism.
    • When dissociation becomes a disorder.
    • What types of dissociative disorders exist according to contemporary classifications.
    • How disorders such as depersonalization, derealization or dissociative amnesia manifest.
    • What dissociative identity disorder looks like — when one person experiences multiple states of the Self.
    • What the process of diagnosis and therapy for people with dissociative disorders looks like.
    • Why these disorders often co-occur with trauma and PTSD.
    • How to help yourself or loved ones who experience dissociative states.
