In September, we invite you to performances by the theaters Kwatera, Igraszka, Magik, Tak, Scena Elffów, and Koda. Choose from plays for younger and older children – all wise and excellently performed. Details below. 🎭 September 17 (Wednesday) - 5:00 PM, BD LIV, Ludowa Street 4 - "Piotruś and Hela in the Land of Emotions" by Teatr Kwatera - For children over 3 years old The play "Piotruś and Hela in the Land of Emotions" combines the real world with a fairy-tale one. First, we meet siblings Piotruś and Hela in their everyday lives, which are not always easy. The children encounter a Fairy and a Fox, who introduce them to the fairy-tale world. The Fairy represents the Land of Emotions, while the Fox represents the Land of Suppressing Emotions. A battle between good and evil unfolds, allowing a closer look at the emotions we experience daily. The play includes a good dose of humor and original songs. 🎭 September 19 (Friday) - 5:30 PM, BD XXX, Melsztyńska Street 4/10 - "The Golden Egg" by Teatr Igraszka A play based on the fairy tale by Władymir Orłow, translated by Elżbieta Dąbrowa. It's a story about a cunning Fox who has a plan to get rich quickly. She shares her idea with her partner in crime, the Wolf. Together, they must steal an egg from an old couple, which will hatch into a hen that lays golden eggs. Unfortunately, instead of a hen, a rooster hatches – and they must raise it. What will come of this? The (not-so-dangerous) Wolf unexpectedly becomes the father of an adorable Chick, who has peculiar parents. The play tells the story of how even someone very bad can transform into a good and loving person. It features great music, original live songs, and excellent acting. 🎭 September 22 (Monday) - 5:00 PM, BD III, Tuchlińska Street 2a - "Around Fairy Tales in 7 Days" by Teatr Tak The protagonist of this interactive play with elements of English is Smok Smokowski, created by Jan Brzechwa, who lives in his poem. Although he isn't scary, he's a picky eater – and this is the beginning of his seven-day journey through the world of fairy tales. Each day, Smok lands in a different fairy tale by Brzechwa. He meets Little Red Riding Hood, dances with the Needle (the one from Thread), and learns a funny spell from the Odd Duck that allows him to jump from tale to tale. He almost married the Ladybug waiting for the Beetle! He was also called Lazy, and from all this, he caught a cold. Although he caused quite a mess, he learned a lot too. This fairy tale will surely be enjoyed not only by picky eaters... 🎭 September 22 (Monday) - 5:30 PM, BD XXXIII, Niepodległości Avenue 19 - "Dwarf Iskierka and Friends" by Teatr Magik - For children over 3 years old This time, the Educational and Preventive Theater "Magik" by Agnieszka Mosiej presents a play about the good spirit of the forest. What if, for just one day, we could enter a world filled only with instruments? During one of her dreams, Pola is transported to the Musical Land of TraFiBum, a world of many instruments where there are no people or animals. Only TraFiElves live there, taking care of the instruments: tuning them, repairing them, and restoring them. A pompous Trombone argues with the quiet Bells, the Guitar takes up too much space, the Flute plays off-key, and the Drum doesn't keep the right rhythm. The TraFiElf can't reconcile the instruments, so he asks Pola for help, and she becomes a conductor. Will Pola manage to bring harmony to the instruments? The events are part of a project funded by the 2025 Participatory Budget "3rd Edition! – All of Mokotów – purchase of books, audiobooks, and games for Mokotów Public Libraries + theater performances in selected libraries."
