This is an original recital by Katarzyna Dąbrowska – an actress and singer who for years has captivated audiences with her interpretations, musicality and exceptional rapport with listeners. It’s a concert where each song becomes a separate story, and words and emotions are as important as the sounds.
Program
The program will include pieces from the canon of Polish and international song – those that audiences have loved and that earned the artist awards at song festivals at home and abroad, as well as several songs from the recital “13 Dates of DaNuta” based on Danuta Rinn’s repertoire and American standards known from the concert “Feeling Good, that is joy in a standard.”
Everything in fresh, atmospheric, sometimes surprising arrangements for a trio.
Why “Gram-off-on”? As Kasia says:
During concerts I load into my musical “player” songs close and important to me. This repertoire, like an old gramophone, is very vintage, but each time it sounds different. Each concert reflects what in a song touches me most at a given moment — what lets me sing out emotions and awaken them in the listener, to amuse and move them. Because music is the simplest and most beautiful language for moving hearts.
