I invite you to a walk through the alleys of the Old Town district. During the walk, we will hear stories not necessarily known to everyone. 📅 We meet on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the bridge near Sigismund's Column. The walk is expected to last about 1.5 hours. We will learn, among other things: - Who sold Sigismund's Column and for how much? - How Professor Zachwatowicz tricked Bierut? - Where was the prison where parties lasted until dawn? - Who got slapped at the fountain in the Old Town? - Where can you stand on a pile of historic manure and garbage? - Who established the first investigative commission? - Where is the narrowest townhouse in Europe located? - How were syphilis patients treated? - Where was Warsaw's first bridge located? - Which street is said to have been the hub of Warsaw's erotic tourism? - Where did Warsaw's first meteorologist live? ...and much more. There is no fee for participating in the walk, but if you feel the guide deserves a tip, it will be greatly appreciated. The walk will be led by a city guide from Warszawski Zaułek. I warmly invite you and hope to see you there.
