Stone. Raw, heavy, silent. As nature gives it — untamed, unhewn, real. From this material Camille Claudel built her world — as a sculptor, a woman, an artist who dared to seek herself beyond what was assigned to her. Stone was a space of freedom. It gave her strength, but also allowed her to change. In it she found form — and identity.
“(un)shaped” is a monodrama about the life and work of Camille Claudel — a woman who refused to be merely a muse. She created in a world dominated by men. She was a pupil, partner and lover of Rodin, but at the same time she longed for independence — as a creator and as a person. Her path is not only the story of an artist, but of a woman who constantly had to negotiate her position: in relation to a man, to family, and to herself.
It is the story of a woman who rejected expectations, redefined relationships and tried to find a new language — not through words, but through stone and gesture. Her sculptures are not only works of art, but also forms of rebellion, manifestos, attempts to survive. It is an individual story, but also a universal one. The performance asks: has so much really changed since then? Do women — artists, directors, actresses, leaders — still have to carve out a place for themselves in a system that was not created with them in mind?

OPEN STAGE OF THE INSTITUTE
The project was created with equality, diversity and dialogue in mind. It expresses care for the theatre community. We hope it will become a place for exchanging ideas, meetings and cooperation — open to voices that are not heard in other institutions. As part of the project, the Theatre Institute makes its theatre hall available free of charge for organizing selected non-commercial open and closed events of a theatrical and community nature.
From among the many submissions sent in the last call for the Open Stage, we decided to make our space available to projects not previously present there. In particular, we wish to focus on productions prepared by the youngest graduates of art schools from across Poland — in the coming months we will present musical, dramatic and choreographic performances. The second stream will consist of experimental performances and projects combining many artistic means, often in an unexpected way.
The purchase of an ad ticket is made on the website of the official ticket distributor. Keep in mind that if the seats are numbered, and the tickets are disputed by several companies, then each of them provides a different pool of seats to choose from
