This time our discussion will focus on the book “The Crooked Church. A Novelistic Chronicle of a Lost City: 1894–1921” by Karin Lednicka (translated by Joanna Goszczyńska) – a moving story about the Polish–Czech history of the Silesian borderland, showing the fates of the region’s inhabitants against the backdrop of the momentous events at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
