About the event
Course “Skin cytology for beginners” — 24 April 2026, Dermawet Clinic, ul. Jarosława Dąbrowskiego 34, Warsaw.
Each participant will be able to take part in a one-day internship at the Dermawet clinic.
The course will be led by Joanna Karaś-Tęcza, a veterinarian specializing in veterinary dermatology and dermatological cytology, known for lectures domestically and abroad.
The course is intended for those starting work with diagnostic skin cytology. Number of places: maximum 18 people — ensuring a high level of interaction during the practical part.
Course plan:
- 9:00–12:00 — introductory classes: techniques for collecting and preparing cytological skin specimens; morphology of cells seen in preparations; types of inflammations and their interpretation; types of infections and their interpretation; introduction to skin tumors, malignancy features in correlation with tumor origin and identification of 5 basic skin tumors.
- 12:00–12:45 — lunch break.
- 12:45–18:30 — independent work with preparations with instructor assistance.
Classes start at 9:00 and end at about 18:30; the finishing time may vary slightly depending on the time needed for the practical part and interaction between participants and the instructor.
At the beginning of the course participants receive colored materials. Coffee breaks and lunch are included in the price.
Cost: 1695 zł net (2084,85 zł gross), payable in a single payment or in two instalments.
