The British band Jools has everything to go far - their values and reflections are combined with incredibly energetic music, and concerts are their element. This year, they debuted with the album “Violent Delights,” which was well-received in the UK. The band will perform it in October at three concerts in Poland - on 15.10 at the Liverpool club in Wrocław, the next day at Gwarek in Kraków, and on 18.10 at Chmury in Warsaw. They will be accompanied at all concerts by the post-industrial project Shagreen. Jools, a six-member band from Leicester, was formed in 2019. In their work, they combine genres such as post-punk, noise rock, shoegaze, and rap, adding socially engaged lyrics that address issues of inequality, identity, and anxiety. They came up with their name while watching Shame perform on the program Later… with Jools Holland, and among their inspirations, they mention the Beatnik movement and music by The Cure, Pixies, and The Streets. Often compared to IDLES, Shame, and Fontaines D.C., they are on a good path to achieve as much as these bands. Their music and energy are addictive from the first encounter, as you will find out by listening to their singles and debut album “Violent Delights,” which premiered on June 6 under Hassle Records. In October, they will come to Poland for the first time, performing at three concerts. We advise you not to miss them! Shagreen is a solo, post-industrial project by Natalia Gadzina - a vocalist, composer, lyricist, and music producer. Last November, the artist released her third album, “Almost Gone,” from which the single “Hate Yourself” stayed on Antyradio and the Turbo Top chart for a long time. Her work is often compared to the later achievements of Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails, with additional influences from genres such as synth-pop, trip-hop, and dark wave.
