Join us for Social Dancing - Practical Dances for Every Occasion! Practical dances are designed to fit most songs we encounter at weddings, parties, and clubs. They are our foundation for learning how to move to music and lead a partner (partnering). They are built to be intuitive and easy to apply in all dance situations. - Disco samba: A basic practical dance based on a side step. Very intuitive. Many people use it at parties without even realizing it. We will help refine these movements to gain more freedom and explore various interesting solutions to prevent the dance from becoming monotonous. A solid foundation in disco samba ensures confidence at any party. - Disco fox: A practical dance whose basic step is designed to achieve a rocking/swaying motion. It works well with both slower and faster songs. Its basic step is slightly more complex than disco samba, but it is also intuitive, allowing us to easily lead and apply it during a hot Saturday night. Additionally, basics: - Salsa on 1: An energetic practical dance originating from Cuba. Very popular worldwide. - Bachata: A sensual Latin dance characterized by smooth hip movements. These dances have gained great popularity and are often encountered at parties. We will also learn the basics to easily fit in at a Latin-themed event. The classes will also include ballroom dances: cha-cha, rumba, jive, English waltz, tango, Viennese waltz! Ballroom dances are divided into two styles: Latin American and Standard. Latin American is an energetic style full of passion and emotion. Standard is a ballroom style characterized by elegance and fluidity. Ballroom dances are often associated with the popular show "Dancing with the Stars" (and its international equivalents worldwide). In Social Dancing, we focus on learning ballroom dances based on the lead 'n follow principle. This means we learn to lead a partner and respond to the partner's lead. (We do not learn pre-made choreographies.) We learn to incorporate various figures and connections between them, allowing the couple to decide and create their unique "choreography" on the spot. From experience, we know that this method will enable you to enjoy the learned dance and freely use it during a dance party. Przemek Walisiak About me: - I am a certified dance instructor. - 9 years of experience in teaching dance. - Created over 300 choreographies for first dances. - I am a professional dancer of the highest international dance class S in Latin American and Standard dances. - Achieved, among others, the title of Vice Champion of Poland in 10 dances and the finals of the Polish Championships in Latin American dances. - I also have finals in international tournaments of the International Open rank. When conducting classes, the most important thing for me is the atmosphere of good fun and ensuring that the process of learning a dance, steps, figures, and leading brings us joy.
