This is music marked by names like Edith Piaf, Joe Dassin, Dalida, Mireille Mathieu. It's the cancan, cabarets (led by "Moulin Rouge"!), and even a phantom - because it was in the Paris Opera House that the hero of the novel and musical haunted. As for musicals - although the recent fire damaged Notre Dame Cathedral, the most famous bell ringer in history still appears on musical stages around the world.
